FEMA Extends Hurricane Ida Direct Housing Program

BATON ROUGE, La. – FEMA has approved a six month extension of its Direct Housing program for eligible Hurricane Ida survivors, following an extension request from the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP). Before the extension, the program had been set to end on Feb. 28, 2023, 18 months following the major disaster declaration (the 18-month period is determined by federal law).
