Disaster Recovery Center in Newton County to Close Temporarily for Elections

AUSTIN, Texas – A State of Texas/Federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Newton County is closed temporarily for Election Day, Tuesday Nov. 7, 2017. The center reopens 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at its original location:

Individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Harvey can still register for disaster assistance in the following ways:

Homeowners, renters and businesses in Aransas, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Brazoria, Caldwell, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzales, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Karnes, Kleberg, Lavaca, Lee, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Polk, Refugio, Sabine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Tyler, Victoria, Waller, Walker and Wharton counties may be eligible for help.
