Preliminary Flood Maps for Denton County, Texas Ready for Public View

DENTON, Texas – New preliminary flood maps are now available for Denton County residents to review. Communities affected by the maps include Corinth, Lake Dallas and Shady Shores.

These maps help homeowners and businesses decide about purchasing flood insurance. By knowing their risks, individuals and community leaders can make informed decisions about building and development.

“Along with our state and local partners we’ve all worked very hard to bring this critical information to the area.
