AUSTIN, Texas – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $1 million to the Port Aransas Independent School District for repairs to its athletic fields following Hurricane Harvey. The school district’s softball field, tennis courts and running track were damaged from the high winds, storm surge and wind-blown debris. Paneling, a dugout roof, turf as well as lighting, fencing and drainage were among the damages found at the three facilities.
