For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
1. A broad area of low pressure located almost 600 miles southwest of
Manzanillo, Mexico, is producing an elongated band of disorganized
showers and thunderstorms. Strong upper-level winds currently
affecting this system are expected to increase further during the
next few days, and significant development of the low is not likely
while it moves generally northward at 5 to 10 mph.
