Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure located a few hundred miles south of the southern coast of Mexico have been increasing in coverage today but remain disorganized. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for additional development, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected to form within the next day or two while the system moves west-northwestward at about 15 mph south of the coast of Mexico.
