Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles southwest of Costa Rica continue to show signs of organization. Environmental conditions are expected to remain conducive for additional development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next day or two while the system moves generally westward away from the coast of Central America. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. 2. An area of disturbed weather associated with widespread but disorganized showers and thunderstorms is located several hundred miles southwest of Acapulco, Mexico. Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development, and a tropical depression could form later this week or this weekend while the disturbance moves westward to west-northwestward at 5 to 10 mph well to the south of the southern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.
