A small, well-defined low pressure system located more than 1300 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing an area of showers and isolated thunderstorms near and to the northeast of the surface center. Upper-level winds continue to become less conducive for development, and are forecast to become quite unfavorable for tropical cyclone formation by Tuesday.
