AUSTIN, Texas – To meet the needs of Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey, the State of Texas/Federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in the city of Anahuac will transition to a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) starting Friday, Dec. 15.
The center is at the following location:
1704 South Main St.
Anahuac, TX 77514
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m to 6 p.m.; closed Sundays
SBA representatives will continue to meet with business owners, homeowners and renters to help them with the disaster loan application process and close their approved loans at all Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs), SBA Business Recovery Centers and DLOCs located throughout the disaster area.
Even though the deadline to apply for an SBA disaster loan for property damage has passed, small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size, still have until May 25, 2018 to apply for an economic injury disaster loan to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster. Economic injury assistance is available regardless of whether the business suffered any property damage. Interest rates for economic injury disaster loans are 3.305 percent for businesses, and 2.5 percent for private nonprofit organizations with terms up to 30 years. Business owners may apply at any center or online using SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
