Satellite images this morning indicate that the shower activity associated with a low pressure area located a little more than 1000 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is becoming better organized. Conditions are favorable for additional development, and a tropical depression could form at any time later today or Friday. This system is expected to move toward the west-northwest or west during the next few days. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent. 2. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a small low pressure system are located a little more than 1800 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. This system is forecast to move westward and only a small increase in organization could result in the formation of a tropical depression later today or early Friday. After that time, unfavorable upper-level winds are expected to become established over the disturbance. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent. 3. An area of low pressure is forecast to form south of Mexico early next week.
