AUSTIN, Texas — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $3.2 million to Hardin County for debris removal following Hurricane Harvey.  Hardin County removed more than 127,000 cubic yards of construction, demolition, vegetative and appliance debris left behind by Harvey’s flooding and winds. AUSTIN, Texas — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $6.8 million to the Harris County Flood Control District for debris removal following Hurricane Harvey.  The flood control district removed more than 135,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris left behind by Harvey that was deposited on roadways, residential streets, rights of way, culverts, bridges and drainage networks.  The total cost of the debris removal exceeded $7.6 million.
